Winter CSA - Now OPEN!
Written by Edwin Dysinger
Dear Friends,
We, Edwin, Jennifer and Paul Dysinger are a small family partnering with our heavenly Father to grow you the best quality winter veges on the planet! We are excited about growing and providing your winter vegetables. Every day you can find us as busy as bees, at work seeding, planting and weeding in the fields before the cold sets in. Jennifer is our little mother making sure every transplant gets watered in.
This Winter CSA season will be from September 30 to March 31. Individual shares will include 12 deliveries of fresh vegetables every other Tuesday. We will have a limited number of 60 shares, significantly less than the 140 families we served in previous seasons. We wish we could serve you all!
Your half bushel of vegetables will include a selection from the following:
- Carrots
- Beets/ Kholorabi/ Turnips
- Kale- curly and Lacinato
- Swiss chard
- Radishes
- Lettuces, large and mini
- Spinach, Baby greens and Braizing mix
- and a few surprises!
Your share will also include bulk amounts of storage vegetables that will be given to you to store and use as you desire through the season. Storage instructions will be included with their delivery to you. These staples will include:
- Garlic
- Butternut squash
- Irish Potatoes
- Sweet Potatoes
The delivery pick-ups will be at 12th South (Sevier Park), Franklin and on the Farm. A heads up to Franklin! We would like to serve you but will need a minimum of 15!
Registration is OPEN! It is first come, first serve, so jump on quick. Click the link at the top of this page to sign up today.
The cost of the CSA will be the sum of the cost of the half bushel share of fresh vegetables and garlic ($444) and the storage vegetables ($72 for 12 pounds each butternut, irish and sweet potatoes). The total amount will be $516 .
We are excited about you joining our CSA family, changing the world one plate at a time!
